FHA Changes UFMIP
In roughly one month, FHA is changing its monthly mortage insurance premium from .50/.55 to .85/.90 and it's financed mortgage insurance premium from 2.25 to 1.00. These efforts are an attempt to shore up the funds that FHA currently has in reserve to help pay for foreclosures.
